because of an error code. It says a later version of personal accelerator for revit is already installed. setup will now exit. Has Autodesk fixed this yet? Thank You.

Is this for Revit Server..?
I doubt Autodesk are going to fix anything for Revit Server.
But if you have a newer version of Revit Server installed, than the one you are trying to install, what is the problem?
There is a known issue where the existence of a newer version of Personal Accelerator for Revit will cause the installation of Revit 2019 to fail if the installation is performed from the Building Design Suite 2019 installer. The easiest way to workaround this issue is to download the Revit 2019 installer and use it instead of the Building Design Suite 2019 installer. The other option is to edit the setup.ini file found in the Building Design Suite 2019 installer and add the following line under the #==============PACR===================== section:
IGNORE_FAILURE=YES

All I can say is it had this error message and aborts the installation. It did not make sense to me either.
Tony,
Does that text sit directly below? This doesn't seem to have worked for me
This is really frustrating. I am setting up new PCs in my office with Revit 2017 to 2020.
I have thumbdrives for the 2017 & 2018. I was trying to be efficient so I downloaded 2020 while 2017 was installing from thumbdrive. However When 2017 failed to install, I was trying to save time so I installed 2020 from the download option which was then ready and waiting.
Then I got this stupid accelerator error when I tried installing 2017 again. So I tried 2018 from disc while 2017 downloaded... 2018 had the same error. So I tried 2017 from the download and it worked?!
Then I tried 2018 and got the fricking error again from the download install.
So then I UNINSTALLED the **** accelerator from the PC.
I thought for sure now it would work. NOPE. (Turns out I cant uninstall the 2020 accelerator..sigh)
Tried 2018 again from disc...same fricking error.
Seriously, my day has been wasted.
Lesson learned. Don't install out of date order since Autodesk hasn't got this stuff worked out! GRRR.
Going to look at the .ini file I guess for 2018 to see if I can fix this.
Adding the IGNORE_FAILURE=YES alone did not solve it for me.
I found I also needed to remove PACR from the POSTREQUISITE= part of
#=======3rd Party Components======
