You could spend some time working with the built-in rendering features in Revit. If that's not enough, you could use 3DS Max, which is normally included in the Building Design Suite (not sure if that's a part of the student packages). If that's too complicated, Lumion is fairly cheap, but not free. And I believe its educational licenses have to be ordered by the administration, not by individual students.
There are several free rendering programs available, though the learning curve can be somewhat difficult if you're new to rendering. Kerkythea comes to mind, though I'm sure a quick google search would produce a handful of others.
As it is, you're probably best off sticking with the built-in rendering in Revit.
