Hi,
There is a new issue I am dealing with in one of our files and I am hoping that any of you might help me come up with a solution.
The problem is that from time to time when we open sheets with 3D views on them we notice that the crop regions of the 3D views have been dragged randomly showing only parts of the building or nothing at all. The views are not rotated, it simply looks like the crop region had been dragged. this happens on several sheets and several views, all chaotically, I can't make sense of it.
There are only two people working on this particular model and they are both advanced revit users so I don't believe that this is done manually. Also it doesn't look like someone dragged the views by mistake because it happens on too many sheets and views at once and also, it is way to obvious to spot for it to be just a mistake.
My colleagues simply work on these sheets, all going well, close the model and when they open it again the next day, random 3D views are affected on several sheets.
Any ideas? I am counting on you guys! Please help.
Kind regards,
Greta
Thank you Ganesh,
Of course I am aware of locking the views.
I just wanted to understand why the views are being altered, in case it is part of a bigger problem, or a glitch.
Kind regards,
Greta
This is more view management than a solution to why, But I always and I mean always make Working views of any 3d view I create for a sheet. Why you may not remember yourself going into that 3d view for a split second to look at something and forget to return it back to where it was originally. I find myself as a BIM coordinator finding people just can't seem to not go into the 3D views on sheets to view something and leaving the scope box on or just plain moving it. Just my 2 cents worth.
