Hey,
i want to create a heavy duty cellular paving type in 3D in our office project. i have created familiy type for the tile and its get waste of time when layering the area. can you please help me to get rid of this problem. the tile in 3D is must. no seamless images will do the requirment. i will attach the image files below
Thank you
Hard to understand what you are saying. Can you elaborate further on what you are trying to do -- or not do?
okay. i have a car park area need to filled with the heavy duty cellualr paving. as per the image 2-1, green area is the car park. and image 01 include the 3D cellular paving block.
i need to fill car park with paving block.
i have tried to put the block one by one. its a waste of time.
is there any method to overcome this problem?
Only thing I can tell you is that I agree with you. Modeling individual paver blocks is a silly waste of time. Why can't you just model the entire parking surface area using a floor (maybe with a surface hatch pattern that looks like pavers) and then call it out as pavers in your CDs?
3d is a must? Perhaps you could use a repeating pattern component..
Are you saying your client wants hundreds (maybe thousands) of CMUs modeled individually? That's what it looks like you're modeling in your first screenshot. 8x8x16 CMU Blocks. How about the cell fills? Does the client want those modeled individually as well?
you are 100% right. just like the images you sent me. but not as a invidual unit. may be as a block(number of units get together)
Seriously???
I don't think you'll have the computing power to do it, but if you must, you can do it through Divided Surfaces and Pattern-Based Curtain Panels.
You can start here and drill down to learn more about the process:
Actually i have some of the small areas with placing model by model. ![]()
