3D Elements Visible Only in Wireframe

I am using Revit 2016.  As I model my project all elements are visible in plan view.  When I go to a section/elevation view I cannot see most elements unless I switch to a Wireframe view which often shows more than I want.  The two images attached illustrate what I am seeing.  I did verify the graphic display options seem correctly set.  Any ideas how I can get the other view - Hidden Line, Shaded, etc - to display correctly?

Try this. Delete the offending view of the model. Recreate.

Thank you for the suggestion.  Unfortunately, it didn't work.  Also, to delete every section/elevation, etc in our project would add way too many days to our project just to redo view and annotations.

You don't have any masking region cover the elevation, do you?

Any craziness in the view template or filters? Filters can get VERY nasty when they turn on you, you know!

Also - can you see this behavior on more than one machine / user?

What kind of craziness should I be looking for?

The problem is with more than one user of the file.

Go through a diagnostic process by turning off categories one by one and see if the model appears correctly at any point:

- Imported category

- RVT Links

I would also repeat the process with Filters. Switch between turning off / deleting filters.

Let me tell you a story - once  upon a time a filter went crazy on me, cut out door openings but I could only see the doors in a 3D view. The happy ending came when the filter was deleted. That is definitely craziness.
