2022 Revit problem with Elevation View showing only in dark grey

OK.  This is the 2nd time I've posted this issue I am having.  I did what was suggested in the previous post by changing the Phase setting to "Show Complete" and also I tried "Show All" and "None".  Nothing worked.  My elevations are in a dark grey color when I use the REALISTIC setting.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you turn on Ambient shadow? Also what is your lighting setting?

Hi Syman2000,

Yes, ambient shadows are on.

Sun is 80, Ambient is 12 and Shadow is 20.

The odd thing is that this problem occurs randomly.  Usually at the end of the day(?).

Did you not solve that issue in the following Post!! at least you say it was solved!

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/problem-with-reivt-2022-realisitic-elevation...

Anyhow; since you are in realistic display mode, the sun settings take effect based on your project location causing the elevations to look brighter or darker. Go to sun settings adjust to Still then set a fixed time/date where the Lighting suits best

Thank you, DR. RD.  My apologizes for my lack of knowledge on posting.  I will stick to this post.

I will try you above suggestion today.  I greatly appreciate your time and patience.

To Martijn, when I regenerate the elevations, they are still grey.  Although, the next day, they will be normal.

I never had this issue with Revit 2021.  Started to occur with Revit 2022.

Here are some examples of another project with the same issue.  As you can see, at times it only greys out sections.  And it is fine in 3D view.  Note: the last png I attached was the previous project that was grey.  This morning it is fine, so far.  But it may  go grey later on today???  I did not change any settings from yesterday to today.

But I will try your suggestion above today.

I am still having an issue with the grey elevations.  I just converted .rvt files to .pdf and you can see how one sheet of elevations are normal and the other one is dark grey.

What could be causing this issue?  I tried the suggestions above and it did not work.  Also, this problem is random.  Some days it behaves.

All this greyishness seems to be related to Depth Cueing (and/or Ambient Lighting) settings if you ask me...

I had the same problem and this is what fixed it for me.

I created a stone cladding from an image that was downloaded from the internet and used it as an external surface on my walls. For some reason the path got lost so the image wasn't being used so revit defaulted to a dark grey color which gave me the impression that there was something off with the lighting.

Check the material of your walls and make sure that its referencing the correct directory where your jpg is saved.

Hope this helps!
