2019: strange group behavior

I have a group of bathroom fixtures, doors, and casework that I am using. I have drug the group from the project browser to my plan and then while in temporary edit mode, I have rotated the group 90 degrees CW. If you look at the image attached you will see that the group boundary is not the same as the original group. In fact, it appears to be including something from my original group. It is not. I have checked.

In the second image, you will see that my casework family shows the connection annotation super far out. I am thinking this is what is causing the boundary box to weird out on me.

Has anyone seen this before and if so, how can I fix it?

Thanks in advance.Capture.PNG

I've seen like things like this happened when adding (essentially, creating) new elements inside  Edit Group mode. Create (or place in project) first, and then Edit  Group and ADD the element to the Group.
