Hi
Don't know if its a fixable issue or a 2018 issue, but now im trying.
When I have a groundplan and uses nested "generic annotations" in families, they disappear when applying "Color Scheme".
Any ideas? or is it a known issue?
Thanks in advance ![]()

Hi @Anonymous
A nested generic annotation is used to report a parameter or to show a text. However the text cannot be filtered out in your project, only an entire generic annotation can be filtered.
To assign a color scheme to your annotation family follow the steps below:

Hi Viveka
It was not quite what I was searching for
but thanks for the post, it was helpfull in other ways.
My issue is that the text disapears when I apply a color scheme.
And when you highlight the family you can see the text and the box around it ![]()
This isn't unique to Revit 2018. I can reproduce the problem in both Revit 2017.2 and Revit 2018.

Hi FRB_HC--
This is a good catch! It seems that there's an issue with the draw order for Nested Generic Annotations (in families other than another Generic Annotation, for some reason) with respect to Color Fills. Taking a look at it now, and we expect to get it into an update release soon.
Thanks,
Trey

Hi @treyk
Thank you for looking at this function!
Controlling the layering of filled and masking regions in nested generic annotation families will be great add-on function through a draw order.
