2018.2 Fill Patterns don't apply to material

After the 2018.2 update I am not able to apply Fill Patterns to the Surface or Cut Pattern of a material.
It remains <none>...
 
But after editing a pattern and then cancelling the operation the pattern is assigned.
Unfortunately it is not possible to edit the Solid Fill pattern.
 
Is this a bug?

Hi, it could be your software error reinstalling may be helpful to you.

Revit 2018 is still a work in progress so it could possibly be a bug of some kind

reinstalling it will not help this issue at all

this should always be a last resort (reinstalling)
