I have a model in Revit that I need to output as an orthographic view at 1:1 scale (for the purpose of printing to display in an exhibition). The views are set up at 1:1 and the sheet are at custom size to accommodate the 1:1. The problem is in the output. I am trying to export to PDF (using Adobe PDF) and I tried to directly save an an image PNG or JPG. In both cases it failed to output at 1:1 scale.
The largest image I have is 28x4 meters.
Can you please assist? Is it possible to output drawings / views at 1:1 scale from Revit? Thank you.
Thank you for your kind help.

It is not a question of whether Revit is able to output such a large scale 1:1 orthographic view, but more of a question whether the PDF driver is able to process it and those do have a limit in terms of both dimension and file size. ie: The PDF export/print is not really a Revit process, it is that of the print driver you are using
Similar to when printing on a large format plotter, those also have a limit and can run out of memory.
Therefore, at a certain point one (you in this case) will end up with no other choice but to send a 2, 3, 4 or more plot/export orders and reassemble them after printing (in your case 28mx4m would be 6 parts)

Max PDF dimensions is 200" x 200 " or 5m x 5m. You need to create multiple drawings if yours is larger than that.
By the way, I wouldn't create 1:1 drawings, but smaller scale and print production to a whatever the size you want. Think about the viewing distance and print a mockup sheet to determine the right scale for text sizes, line weights, etc...

28x4 meters???
Pardon me, but I've got to ask. What are you doing this for?
...funny you posted this on April Fools Day. Almost sounds like a gag. ![]()
I need to output large 1:1 format for an exhibition setting that I am working on.
