Where is the 2015 DB link plug-in.

I have a 2014 Revit project dug up and revived.  And that project utilized the Revit DB link 2014 plug-in.  I am currently on 2015 platform and am trying to find the 2015 DB  link plug-in.  All web searches that make references point me to Exchange site or Managed Account.  The Exchange site has 2016 version of the plug-in and the Manage account has nothing.

Can someone point me in the right direction?  Much appreciated.

Try to put the .addin and the .dll file in the 2015 folder and tell me.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Let it work like a charm.

Thanks

Hey!
You should have a .addin in your Revit 2014 Folder. Somewhere like C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2014\ (The ProgramData folder is hidden by default) you first have to put it in your Revit 2015 in the same Folder.

If you installed the DB link 2016 version you should find the "Autodesk.RevitDBLink.addin" file in the following path:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2016

If so try to copy it to the following path:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2015

If you have the 2014 version then do the same (copy from C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2014 to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2015)

See if either could be compatible with the 2015 version and give me your feed back.

Hi guys,

Sorry I was traveling for the last few days.

Ok I understand the the coping from one version to the other.

The back story is that I have a new machine and it came loaded with Revit 2015 where the old machine had 2014.

Please correct me but do I not need Revit 2016 installed before I install the 2016 DB Link plug-in?

Thanks Ted

No you don't need it. Just complete the installation process of the DB addin and you will find the files in the shown paths.
