What is the best way to place wall/face based lighting fixture family instances ?

Hello,

For my project I would like to place wall/face based lighting fixture automatically through the revitAPI.

Which of the 13 provided methods would be the best for placing a lighting fixture that is wall based. And which for a lighting fixture that is face based. I already have the wall element I want to place the lighting fixture onto and also its XYZ position.

Any resources or code examples would be very appreciated.

I assume you know how to achieve what you ask for manually through the UI, and the best practices to apply there. That is a good start, because then you can analyse the models you create manually using RevitLookup to see what elements are being used and analyse their properties and relationships.
