I need help with a very specific question. I am trying to automate my works project set up with dynamo and i am running into issues with the ceiling plans that are created with an associated level that is of the highest elevation in the project. the issue i am having with these ceiling plans is when i create a ceiling plan revit is defaulting the view range planes to the level above. since the ceiling plan is at the highest elevation with limited options for levels above the associated level, the view range plane configuration is not allowed by revit upon creation of the view. since the ceiling plan upon creation is already in a configuration that is not allowed by revit i am not able to get my scripts to set any view range parameters to these views. i have tried a lot of different ways to work around this to no avail. i have tried getting the view range planes to be set before application of the view range planes then commit the transaction and this did not work. i am able to make the changes manually though but for the purposes of automation i dont have a way of knowing what this configuration could be in the actual setting of using this script to set up a project. the script uses a linked project to fetch the parameters from views on sheets then apply them to views being created within the same dynamo file. so i can look in the linked model for the settings but that would defeat the purpose of the script. if there is no work around for this then that is fine but i am at a loss for any more ideas on what i could do to possibly fix this issue. i can post the scripts if needed for anyone willing to help but at the moment i dont feel like it is needed because there is no amount of coding that can fix this issue. i'm hoping someone knows a way to possibly change the default view range planes for views or if there is another way to fix this issue.
