Vertical Schedules Schedules in Revit?

Is there an API out there that will arrange a Revit schedule vertically? I have some existing schedules in Excel that i would like to create in revit. However, with the number of fields needed I can't fit the schedules on a 30x42 sheet. If i could arrange the fields vertically the schedule would fit. Any ideas. I've seen some older posts that indicate this is not possible, but I thought I would check back in since its been a few years now.

Dear Stevedav,

In general, if a feature is not available in the product through the user interface, then the Revit API will not provide it either.

If you explain exactly step by step how the schedules you desire can be created manually through the user interface, then maybe we can explore how to achieve the same result programmatically.

I doubt it is possible, however.

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for the quick response. What I was hoping to achieve is the ability to arrange fields in a Revit schedule vertical instead of just horizontally which is Revit's default. See attached drawing.

Thank you for your query.

As I explained above, in general, if a feature is not available in the product through the user interface, then the Revit API will not provide it either.

Is this functionality available in the UI? I assume still not. In that case, this is not an API request, but a request for a general product feature.

I would suggest adding it to the Revit Ideas wish list, if it is not yet present there, or voting for it there, if it is:
