Vault tab: how to get current Vault name, and Server name of current project?

Good afternoon, collegues.

Can anyone help me to get vault name and server name from Revit?

1. I'm opened the project from Vault with using Tabs «Vault» in Revit!
2. Now I'm want to get the current names: vault name and server name.

Any idea?

Dear Evgeniy,

Thank you for your query.

The Vault tab is presumably implemented by the Vault add-in.

The Vault add-in is presumably a completely normal Revit add-in.

Revit itself does not provide access to any functionality implemented by external add-ins.

What you are asking for could be provided by the Vault add-in itself, e.g., if it provided an API.

I suspect that is not the case, and therefore I am afraid you cannot easily access the information you seek.

Is the Vault name and server name displayed anywhere in the Revit user interface?

You might be able to use the Windows API to read it from there.

Alternatively, you might be able to use the Vault API to extract the required data from that end instead.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Jeremy

Good morning, Jeremy.

It's a pity. Thank you.

I thought that Revit and Vault very integrated systems. Maybe Vault add-in saved information about vault name and server name somewere in registry or other place? But this question for other place, I will try to ask this question in Vault technical support.
