Stretch picture on a extrude

In a family part I would like to create a extrude, let say a block. Can I stretch a picture one of the faces progranatically?

Dear 782235,

In general, the Revit API will only allow you to perform tasks that can also be achieved manually through the user interface.

Therefore,  to begin with, I would check whether the product itself supports that.

Ask an applicatiuon engineer or product support.

If the UI supports this, chances are better that it can be achieved programmatically as well.

Hi Jeremy,

It is the Insert/Decal tool what I would like to use. It is availble in Project Editing mode but unavailable in the Family Part Editor. Therefore I can not palce picture on surfaces of a family part. I suppose that it is not possible to do it programatically, neighter.

I have not found any reference in the Api docs that creation and placeing of decals is supported.

Can you clarify this?

I heard back from the development team now. They say:

This is not supported in the API in general and it sounds like it would not be supported for a family element anyway.
