SpotSlope Dimension - Can these be created with API?

Hello all,

I am developing a fairly complex manufacturing addin for Revit 2014 and now in the final stages of tdying up my TODO list, I need to programatically create and manipulate a SpotSlope dimension on a roof face.

I can find and manipulate existing SpotSlope dimensions that are placed by the user with no problems, but I've looked everywhere and can't find any method for creating one. There is NewSpotElevation() and NewSpotCoordinate() but not a NewSpotSlope() or similar method that I can see.

I've searched the API docs, Google and these discussion groups with no joy.

I'm going to keep trying things like using the NewDimension() method with the SpotSlope type assigned and similar, but I think this will be in vain.

Has anyone tried this? I would have thought it to be a simple excersise, hopefully I have missed something silly and you fine people can set me straight.

I don't think Revit exposed the API to create the Slope Spot.
