I am having trouble with the eccentricity of slabs and beams with regards to their analytical elements (panels and bars). In the example below, the analytical model shows at the top face of the slab and at the center top of the beam. I want to be able to capture these eccentricities somehow via the API.
My questions:
1) Is there a way to get the slab's eccentricity via the API? I can't seem to find one, so next question:
2) In Revit, it seems like the slabs are often modelled so that their top face is at their elevation. If this is always the case, I can use a t/2 eccentricity by default. I could not find any options to modify how the slab is placed with regards to the floor's level, but I find it hard to believe that Revit does not allow this to be customised.
3) If the above fail, how would I go about it?
4) For beams, I can read the justification values from the structural element. This also requires that I know the extreme section dimensions to be able to calculate the eccentricities ez, ey of the cross section with respect to the bar axis. Is there a more robust way to do it?
