Set VG from view

I'm looking for a script to set the check boxes in the VG dialog based on whats categories are present/visible in the model. Before I started, thought I'd see if anyone had something like this or a starting point. Thanks.

The VisibilityControl SDK sample contains code related to hiding/unhiding categories. Does this sample help?
