Dear Nitin,

I assume you mean JunctionType when you say JuctionType.

However, I see neither of these two properties anywhere in the Revit API.

I see a PreferredJunctionType property on various classes, including MEPCurveType, RoutingPreferenceManager and RoutingConditions. All three of these are read-write, so you can set them as you please.

Regarding the Connector.GenderType property, I would assume that that is defined by the MEP connector element added to the family defining the MEP fitting.

Can you explain what you are trying to achieve, please?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Jeremy

Hello,

Please find attached image of GenderType and JunctionType properties of "Standard" pipe.

They are inbuilt revit pipe's connector's parameters.

I have to set those parameters for my custom created PipeType, so that i can identify connectors of pipe uniquely with these parameters.

Did you get me?

Thanks for reply.

Regards,

Nitin.

Hah, ha.

Not JuntionType, not JunctionType, but JointType.

Ok, I think we are getting closer.

It really helps to say what you mean  🙂

Please bear with us while we explore this a bit further.

Thank you.

Cheers,

Jeremy

Dear Nitin,

Thank you for your patience.

I discussed this with the development team, and have some interesting news that will hopefully simplify life for you:

There is no way to access these properties via the UI.

They exist only in the API and will be removed as soon as possible in a future release.

I hope this helps.

ok.

Nothing to say. just have one suggestion, will Autodesk Revit API team add those parameters instead of removing the same.

That should help in developing new innovative things through API.

Thanks for reading this..

Regards,

Nitin.
