Separates Systems Family according to a Shared Parameter

Hey,

I want to make an application that separates Systems Family according to a Shared Parameter I created. For instance, I want every pipe on project to assume a "Code" according to it's diameter and material, the "Code" being a Shared Parameter.

Basically, I see no problem achieving what you say.

Or what I think you say, anyway.

However, actually, looking a bit closer at your query, I am confused.

You say you have assigned a shared parameter to all family instances?

And you would like to attach a "Code" parameter to them as well?

Hmm. It sounds as if you would like to achieve what you have already done.

What is the problem?
