Revit Family Origin in two different places

Hi everyone, I have a problem with RFA origin point. Some families have origin point in Left/Upper corner of the model on plan view, defined in Ref. plan properties:

Developers built a tool to insert Connectors from external DataBase with the coordinate calculated from Left/Upper corner. But it turns out that in some families the Origin point remains in the center of the model, even if it is defined in Left/Upper. So, when connector is added, it is positioned in wrong place:

I presume, that there are some hidden options and Real Origin Point of this family is in the Center, but how could that point be managed from Revit API. There is it stored?

You might want to raise this issue in some other forum as well.

People knowledgeable in family definition and content creation best practices can probably answer it better than the pure Revit API programming nerds.
