revit api usage

hi, my question is more general... 
I'm starting my studies on revit api and programming but I'm having difficulties using the codes on the "revit api docs" site. 
I would like to understand better how to apply 
(I use the visual studio IDE with the C# language with the .NET framework)

I recommended trying to follow the 'My First Revit Plugin' tutorial to get something building, and reading through at least the linked ''Getting Started with the Revit API" Building coder posts.

If you run into issues and have more specific questions, then I'd recommend you search for them and/or post them here.
