Revit 2018 Addin Manager Setup

Hi all, I've finally found some time to try to get the Revit Addin manager set up. I've been restarting Revit every time to test my addins so I'm excited to get this going.

I seem to be missing something.

So far, I have located the Revit SDK .exe here: C:\Autodesk\Revit_2019_G1_Win_64bit_R1_dlm\Utilities\SDK and installed it for Revit 2018.

In the Add-in Manager, I now see this:

I have copied the .dll and .dll.config files to my addins folder here:

C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2018

which is where all my other addins are.

I've noticed that there isn't .addin file as there typically is with the other add-ins.

Is this an issue? does this file come in another folder? where can I find this file or is it something I need to make myself?

When I start up Revit, no Addin Manager appears under the ADD-INS tab.

SDK is for REVIT 2019, you use 2018: not a match and may be the actual problem.

Whoops. I missed that. I checked both SDK folders and neither of them has a .addin File.

Do you have the .addin files in your sdk folders?

Hey,

I have attached the Add-in manager files (dll, dll.config, .addin).

Kind regards.
