Restricting access to edit parameters

I would like to know if there is a plugin or a tool that can restrict the access to a user to only edit a particular parameter in a family. This is to ensure that the user doesn't edit or update any other properties of the family but only can assign his part of expertise into the model.
I know that we can create worksets and assign permissions, but we will need to move the whole family set to that workset. We do not want to do that.
To be more specific, we are acoustics team, working with architects to assign STC values to walls. To make things easier, we want to work on the central model and edit few parameters of the wall but not change anything else in the model. But Architect usually doesn't want to give us the permission to edit considering the risk factor.
So, we are finding a solution to edit our scope of work while we do not interfere with other aspects of the model.

I would say a better approach would be to come up with and discuss a better workflow. Maybe you give them a spreadsheet of values and their walls and they do it, maybe you own those walls in your model, etc.

Thank you @jeremy_tammik for your helpful response. We will look into the possibility of using this add-in.

Thank you for the response
Yes, that's the way we are doing it right now. The issue here is that we have to add the values all over again whenever there are layout changes. This is basically a rework, and this can be avoided if the values are already present in the central file.
We are looking for a solution since we are involved from the conceptual stage and expecting a lot of changes going forward.

The RvtLock3r add-in was for a specific company, not for general usage. In its current state, it is more like a suggestion for some possible approaches, a bunch of ideas for you to build on to implement your own.
