Read dll from a folder within Addin folder

Hi,

I have made an installer that places my custom add in into the Revit addin folder.

All the files to run my application are stored in the marked folder "myCustomApp"

But when you open Revit it doens't do anything.

So how do you have to set up things in visual studio when you want to open your addin from a subfolder?

Thanks

The only thing you need to modify is probably the assembly path defined in the add-in manifest file by the `Assembly` tag:

Cheers,

Thanks for the reply!

So what i have is the following part, that is working when you place it directly in the addin folder

But when you use a subfolder it must be something like this? i tried this but didn't work 😞

Does your add-in consist of one single DLL, or does it also reference other support libraries in their own DLL modules?

If so, you may need to implement an assembly resolver:

You can also search for other threads here in the forum that discussion similar topics.

Hi,

It's only one dll. But it is working already 🙂

I had to make some changes in my Inno Setup installer.

Thanks for the support!
