Hi,

Im testing out the new DirectContext3d, must say it looks great!
However I cant seem to print or export it.
Do I have to do something special?

Thanks!

Dear Erik,

Thank you for your query.

Glad you like it!

Here is all I know about it so far:

I am checking about print and export with the development team for you.

Cheers,

Jeremy

Dear Erik,

Thank you for your patience.

The development team replied:

Printing should work, in Raster format only. (There are no vectors for vector printing). It will not generally export. If Erik wants to talk about what he was hoping would work, I know the development team would be interested. Alex Pytel will be teaching on this topic at AU this year.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Jeremy

Thanks Jeremy!

I havent tested it yet, but it sure makes sense. The DirectContext3d is just mesh so vector export shouldnt work.

We are still exploring this functionality, but we have some interesting ideas. One is the good old wish for rooms visible in 3d.

If I can ask for something, it would be that one could select or at least get a callback when the user clicks on the geometry and also when the mouse is over.
