Opening a blank template through revit

Hello Guys,

We open a fresh blank new template by Big R-> New Project -> It is ask to choose Imperial/Metric -> then it opens fresh template.

Can this process be done through Revit API 2015.

I mean i dont want to hard code the path of template.

Please suggest something on this matter.
