Objects Assigned To Multiple Layers In Forge Viewer

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right place for this question, feel free to point me to the correct location if it is not.

We're using the Forge Viewer to extract data about user-uploaded models in different formats.  In one case, a user uploaded a SketchUp 2016 model, and certain objects (e.g. furniture) appeared to be assigned to multiple different layers.

For example, most of the furniture in the model shows up when viewing just the "Layer0" layer in the Forge Viewer, but is also visible when only the "Furniture" layer is visible.  However, when viewing the Properties of these objects, they appear to only be assigned to "Layer0".

If anyone has any insight into how Forge handles this under the hood, it'd be very much appreciated.  In particular, I'm wondering if there is a way to extract data about all of the layers that are associated with an object rather than just the one.

Thanks a lot,

Josh

Yes, indeed, I think this is not quite the right place for this question.

I think you will have more success going through the official Forge help channels, via:

https://autodesk-forge.github.io/

Cheers,

Jeremy
