NOTEPAD++ for Revit Formulas

Any advice on how to use NOTEPAD++ to help me figure out why some of  my formulas in Revit do not work? I am coming from Inventor and using I-logic and its so much easier to do than Formulas in Revit. Just looking for some good advice or tips.  Thanks in advance.

First, wrong forum as this is not a API question,  the Revit arch or structure would serve you better. Second, as i do the same thing, it really depends on what error Revit is throwing at you. Mostly i do this to find out where the missing parenthesis is for nested if statements as it will highlight each pair (LISP anyone?) Other than, not really useful for debugging formula logic.

If it's a issue of not 'closed' () then in NotePad++ place the cursor on a ( or ), it will highlight the correct pair.

From there you can troubleshoot the issue for the amount and/or the place of them.
