Macro module initialization failed. Revit 2025

Hi,

I think this forum is more suitable than the others for this question.

I am getting the error in the picture below. I already reinstalled Revit. But nothing changed. Is there anybody who knows solution?

Yup, I agree this forum makes sense for this question. However, I cannot hazard any guess on what might be causing the error you see. Although, if I try really hard, it may be due to the macro trying to do something that fails during its initialisation. One potential thing it might be trying to do is load some .NET assembly DLL that it depends on, and that it can access in previous releases but not in Revit 2025. However, without further details, it is impossible to say anything whatsoever for sure.

Can you edit the Macro in your macro manager?

Maybe you can get more exact failed message in there.

The error looks like is something in the visual studio code. You could use the Visual Studio 2022, at least I know that works by default.

Hi ricaun,
I uninstalled and reinstalled VScode it worked.
I also tried running Visual Studio as Macro editor as you mentioned. It also worked.
Thanks for your reply.
