LoadLibrary DLL loading problem on Revit 2022 and 2023.

Hello,
We are loading a .NET DLL into Revit that has been working for years.
I am having an issue on Revit 2022 and also Revit 2023 that we are having trouble responding to our customers on.
Very few workstations are affected but we have not found the cause.
Is there a process that has been added since Revit 2022 in the loading of its DLLs?
Do you know of a similar problem that will disrupt Revit ?

Thanking you in advance.

Hi @pgpx ,

Apologies that you are facing this issue.

Could you kindly provide a screenshot of the error you are getting when loading the .dll. Also, a similar issue has been encountered in AutoCAD not sure this could be related, you could check

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/loadli...

In the meantime, I will ask the Dev team if there is any update that has been made in Revit 2022 and 2023 on the same.

Hello,

On our DLL Debug.log of the client PC we have :
[Debug] Step 2: Error from Marshal: 1114.

So we have error 1114.

If it's like on AutoCAD, although we're on Revit, what should be changed on the client workstation?

We have a workstation that has the same graphics card configuration as our client and it is running on Revit 2022.

Cordially.

Hi @pgpx,

I reaceived a meaningful feedback from the Engineering team.

1114 is a general load library failure error:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/debug/system-error-codes--1000-1299-
I wonder what DLL is being loaded? Is it possible that on the client machine you have loaded other add-ins that might collide with this loaded DLL? It might also be possible to write a simple .NET EXE that tries to load the DLL and use that to troubleshoot the program on those particular machines (without having Revit involved).
