Is it possible to import an IFC file by using Revit API ?

I want to creat an add-in for Revit 2014 and part of its function is to import IFC files automatically. I wonder if the 2014 Revit API supports it ? I noticed that there is  something called "ImporterIFC" in the API, should I use it?
