Intersection area between a Shaftopening a floor

How I can calculate the intersection area between a floor and a shaftopening. I can not delete any object.

You might be able to determine the edge loops of the floor, including loops around inner holes, e.g., the hole generated by the shaft opening.

Identify the loop caused by the shaft and calculate its area:

The problem that I have it is how I can know if a shaftopening intersect with a floor, because its property Host in equal null.

If you can get solid geometry representing the shaft, get that.

If not, use something else, e.g., geometric lines along its edges or something.

Grab the solid of the floor.

Calculate the intersection of the two.

But if shaft already cuts geometry from the floor, there will be no intersection.

Am I wrong?
