Import floor or wall and edit its thickness

Hi!

Im developing an add-on for Revit and I want to preload an object directly when people install my add-on and further on, edit the thickness of said wall or floor, accodring to a value that the user inputs. So I was just wondering if there is a way to do this, to preload an object and to edit the thickness of it. Any help is extremly appreciated, thanks in advance! (:

you can preload objects if they are family types (Family instances => Chairs, window, doors..etc) ... but you can't pre load Builtin Types (Walls, floors, ceiling) however, you can have a project template (*.rte) containing those objects that you want to preload, and then you can manipulate with the parameters you need (such as thickness)

I hope this helps
