How to read and display revit file in a web viewer

Hello i'm new at revit api and i need to build an app that can read a revit file and display it in a web viewer.

does autodesk provide any api to read revit files?

The easiest way to achieve this is to use BIM360 or Forge:

• https://www.autodesk.com/bim-360
• https://forge.autodesk.com

Using that approach, there is no need for an app or any Revit API usage at all.

They both translate the Revit model to a light-weight format for high-quality viewing on the web.

The cost is minimal or zero for a single model or limited usage.
