How to make a custom language pack

Revit does not support my country language and everybody know what it is revit but most of them do not know english etc. In the ribbon section there is not any problem because of the little icon. On the other hand especially about warning nobody understand and they do not want to use Revit. I want to make a custom Turkish Language pack and share everybody. Is there a possible way to achieve my wish.

In short, no there isn't. We have the same problem here in the Netherlands. There excisted a dutch version up to Revit 7 and you had to replace a dll. I don't know If it still could be done this way, but it certainly isn't supported by Autodesk.

Hello,

This may help a little:

http://thebuildingcoder.typepad.com/blog/2011/07/translate-revit-tooltips.html

Also, there are tools like this that may help (I've not tried or tested):

http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/download/system-desktop-tools/screen-translator-123-3329707/

The translations won't be very accurate, but they may give you enough of an idea what is going on.

Good luck!

Cheers,

-Matt

Thank you. I guessed there wouldn't be an easy or a official way to translate. I think i have to wait Autodesk to give official Turkish Language pack.

I'm sure there are many such applications available. If all else fails, take a photo with your phone using the Google Translate app.
