How to lock reference planes?

How to lock reference planes to the extruded geometry in the family editor? This thread is pretty old, things should have changed.

Why do you say 'should'? Never change a running system. Do you mean 'could'?

 

I'm afraid the only detailed description I have for this procedure is also pretty dated, much more so, in fact; still valid, though:

YourLabs are pieces of gold, extra helpful and very descriptive! Thanks to them it was possible to lock reference planes and learn something new! Sometimes what worked back then doesn't work now but luckily that's not the case for this issue.
