Get element quantity and unity

Hi there,

I saw on the building coder a way to get material quantity, but on of the links on this article is broken, so i can't get "scott's AU material class". I need to get material's quantity and unity (like 10 m3 of concrete, 50m2 of wood floor, etc).

i searched on building coder during a couple of hours but only found one good article with a broken link 😞 can someone give the good link or another idea to get material quantity and unity? i need it for a global cost calculator plugin.

Dear Supamiu,

Thank you for discovering the broken links in that old article.

I added some new information, uploaded Scott's old AU 2009 class handout, and also point to an updated version from AU 2011:

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Jeremy

the link file:////a/doc/au/2009/doc2/AU09_CP222-3_Analyze_Geometry_Revit_API.pdf doesn't work too. I'm going to have a look on 2011 version of this class, thanks for your help.

Dear Supamiu,

Sorry for the broken link. I fixed it now:

I hope this one works for you.

In any case, the Revit 2011 material is probably preferrable over the 2009 information, isn't it?

Cheers,

Jeremy
