get area formula

I use "BuiltInParameter.HOST_AREA_COMPUTED" to get the area of element,

but could it possible to show out the formula of the calculation,

I assume this is more than just a simple formula... it probably depends on numerous factors, doesn't it?

I'm trying to show how it compute the area of each components.

If the shape of the component is regular like circle or rectangle, then that'll be no problem.

But is there any approach to show the formula in case the component is irregular?

not that I am aware of, sorry.

I recall from Calculus 101 class --- many, many years ago, that there is a general method for calculating the area of an irregular object using calculus. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the method, but this bit of info may help set you to search in the right direction.
