Revit 2019+
I want to search for a Material from one of the Custom material libraries attached to revit and add it to a type parameter all within th family document.
I saw some old posts from 2015 stating that you needed a project with all the materials loaded into it, then you could open the document in the background and do a filtered element collector on the materials and using the result assigning that material id to your family type parameters all within a fmaily editor.
Is this a workaround that is still necessary?
