Family Constraints

Everyone knows that the correct technique for constructing family geometry is to build the skeleton (reference planes) and then constrain the geometry to the reference planes. What I can't determine in an existing family is whether this is the case. For example, select an extrusion, and "Show Contraints". Even better would be to select an edge of the extrusion and highlight the specific reference planes. Any pointers would be appreciated. Dale

Dear Dale,

 

I would suggest exploring the model using the element lister and RevitLookup before and after adding a contraint manually to a simple sample model.
