Hello everyone,

I am sucessfully created revit plugins by using internal revit API functions. But I am not  able  develop the plugin using through PyQt5 and Psycopg2 in pyrevit. Can I use external python packages in revit?

Hi @mathupathy_bXL6DS,

 

The Revit API is based on .NET. Therefore, everything and anything that supports .NET can be used to work with the Revit API. pyRevit is designed to enable usage of Python with .NET. You therefore cannot use python packages in Revit since there is no support, but you can use Revit API libraries in pyRevit.

 

That said, you might also try to discuss pyRevit related issues directly with its creator Ehsan in the pyRevit repository via the appropriate channels:
