Export to previous FBX format in Revit 2017

Hi,

We maintain an add-in to export from Revit to the Piranesi painting program.  This exports a 3D view to FBX, then runs our application to convert it to a Piranesi file.

At Revit 2017, the Export API has changed to use the FBX 2016 format. But our application can't read this, and the FBX SDK was last updated in 2014 so we can't add it.   FBXExportOptions doesn't let you select the format.

Is there any way for an add-in to export to the "FBX 2015 and Previous" format, as you can do in the Export dialog?

If not, can you consider adding this, please?
