Export Data to csv files from Revit using Python

Hi Community,

Does anyone know ways/references to export Revit elements data to a csv file using Python? either inside Revit program or without opening the program. I wonder how to make it work both ways. Thank you so much!

Hi @Yien_Chao 

yes. I was able to generate all parameters of one piece of element from Revit and ran the code in RevitPythonShell. Now, I'm trying to generate the data out as CSV files and searching ways to run the code either with opening the Revit program or without opening the program.

I know there is a way to export data into a csv in Dynamo. But as for now I'm trying to transit from dynamo to revit api. Appreciated your replies.
