This is probably a silly question but I'm a total noob so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
I am currently working on a macro to help with mechanical equipment coordination within our electrical model. Basically currently it searches the linked models for the mechanical one, saves the doc and runs a filtered element collector on the mech model to grab all of the mech equipment which requires an electrical connection. From here I would like to place a family instance of on of our electrical symbols at the same location as the mech equipment but the only way I know how to do that is via a filtered element collector in the elec model is there a better way to get the electrical symbol family then the filtered element collector or am I on the right track?
Ps everything works fine just wondering if this is the correct process.
