Developing Revit App

Hi Everyone I have a question that I have searched the Internet with no answer.I am sorry if the question is so amateur. 

how can I develop an app for Autodesk Revit 2017. I wonder if anyone can tell me how I can develop some Revit apps like BIMOBject and should I use Autodesk forge or Visual studio.

IS there any guideline or walkthrough?

To develop an app you must be with the functionality required of an app, to develop an app from scratch follow proper steps latest technologies, and after development does proper testing.
