Delete unused family document materials

How can I delete unused family document materials, please these are thing  that clog-up our project.

Hi,

I have been using that performance advisor and it is really useful. It purges it find problems with your project.

I don't think it purges materials from my experience and that is what prompted this question to see if anyone knew a technique that worked?

You are indeed correct - materials and material assets are not picked up. 

It would seem more of an Autodesk oversight and probably something that would not require a great deal of modification to the code.
