DB LINK and Shared Parameters

I am just getting into using Revit and Revit DB Link. Whenever I export to my database, project parameters come over, but shared parameters do not. Is there anyway get the shared parameters into my database?

Therefore, if you are not programming anything yourself using the Revit API, this is not the optimal place for this question.
