Creating New Macros

Hello, I just started using Autodesk Revit 2014 and I wanted to create some Macro.

I looked up some tutorials on the intenet and learned that when I try to create a new Macro, a SDA or VSTA window should pop-up so I can write my code.

The problem is when I try to create my Macro, nothing happens. No window pop-up and I´m unable to write the code.

I have installed MS Visual Studio Express and Revit SDK, and doesnt matter what language I try to use, it is always the same.

Does anyone knows if I missed any required programs for this to work, or if there might be some bug with Revit?

Thanks.

Hi Thiago,

Macro environment comes with the product. You don't need to install a separate visual studio environment. Please follow the instruction in the product help:
http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2014/ENU/?guid=GUID-F0A122E0-E556-4D0D-9D0F-7E72A9315A42

Revit Users >> Customize Revit >> Automating tasks with Macros.

If your Does not start A macro environment from the macro button, then you have a problem with the installation itself. Please ask the product support about it.
